This piece was inspired by Harlem church, Emmanuel AME where the artist volunteers with non-profit Free Food. They serve beautifully prepared, plated meals to those in need with dignity and care. To commemorate this special place, she incorporated a bit of earth from the church's flowerbed and into this 4 part series aptly titled Sanctuary.
