The heart of Organic Erotic is making spaces feel good.
To me, my room is my everything. It is my safe place. My creative place. Its the place I go to be 100% me. Everything in my room, I love.
It wasn’t always like that. I used to buy things in my room to impress other people. I wanted people to come see my space and say “wow, you have good taste, or this looks good”.
Now, I want to come home and feel my body rest and relax. Unwind.
Joanna and I have many things in common. We both share the same birthday. We both can be heard across a building when we laugh. We both carry joy, life, and light to our friends and the people around us.
However, the thing we have in common, that unites us inside of OE is we both love being at home.
We recently moved our company to Petaluma, CA to open a retail space. Petaluma is a beautiful town that embraces the concept and beauty of OE with grace and delight.
The other day I was telling a friend about the history of Organic Erotic and the journey we embarked on in order to start the company and open the retail space. I explained to her, our retail portion would have NEVER been made possible without two of our employees, Sofia and Leah.
She asked, quite understandably, why?
I laughed, and I said, “Well there is a reason Joanna and I started a home goods company, we love being at HOME!”
Through and through, we are home bodies. We love the feeling of lighting our candles and incense all throughout our home, decorating our spaces with beauty and warmth, and curling up on our couch and creating.
The spaces we create reflect who we are, joy, warmth, and beauty. No matter where we go. We make spaces beautiful.
Organic Erotic is our offering to the world, to experience living, the way we do. We want everyone to feel at home in their space. We desire for people to turn their home into their sanctuary.
In December 2023, we were spending time at the office, when we were discussing what are the essential items all people need in their home. We created a list. But the heart of each one of our spaces is our altar area.
These areas usually consist of an altar, a candle, incense, a container to hold the incense (because who can be bothered to take them out of the box), an item of beauty, and some beads.
The altar area becomes the HEART of every room. It is a sacred place in the room. It does not accumulate clutter and is interacted with often. Its a place your mind can turn and be reminded of softness, beauty, wonder, joy, and breath.
For each of you, we created the SANCTUARY BOX, it is a unique sanctuary box curated for you based on the felt sense. It will become the foundation or essence of your home. The place that purely reflects you to you.
